A Hong Kong-based restaurant group run by chef-entrepreneur Arron Rhodes, SHOWMEN GROUP was born from a shared vision of creating restaurants that guests would want to visit every day of the week.
Their first venture, Kinship, first opened in May 2019 in the heart of SoHo offers hearty and wholesome New World flavors inspired by the chefs’ travels around Asia. Kinship’s trademark warm service and open-armed hospitality were carried into Showmen Group’s second venture, Smoke & Barrel smokehouse and BBQ restaurant on Wyndham Street that opened in October 2020. Christened the “Best BBQ in Town”, Smoke & Barrel pays homage to the age-old American culinary tradition of wood-smoked barbecue cooked slow ‘n low in Hong Kong’s only imported smoker. With “Showmen” Arron at the forefront of each venture, SHOWMEN GROUP will continue to expand its brand based on the same humble philosophy and mission to show guests a good time with delicious food and warm service.

Smoke & Barrel is the true epitome of old-school American BBQ, bringing to Hong Kong the one and only imported wood-fired smoker AKA ‘The Beast’ all the way from Missouri. Diners can expect exceptional, full-flavoured meats cooked slow n’low to produce the hallmark hickory-wood aromatic flavours of traditional Texas-style BBQ cooking. All of S&B meats are carefully prepared and smoked in-house in our open kitchen, this gives our guests a complete interactive experience where you can see the authentic BBQ process in action.

This retail grab & go platform has allowed Smoke & Barrel to develop a range of new raw pre-packaged goods including Smoked Baby Back Ribs, Californian Pork Belly Steaks, Homemade Sausages, Dry Aged Beef Burgers, and more at humble and honest prices. Smoke and Barrel Café is a cozy and welcoming café located in the heart of Kennedy Town . Our café is famous for our mouth-watering smoked meat dishes, which are cooked to perfection using our signature blend of spices. We offer a variety of dishes ranging from juicy smoked chicken, succulent pulled pork, and tender beef brisket. Our friendly staff is always ready to greet you with a smile and provide you with exceptional service.
FOUNDER NOTE
The restaurant chain was developed in 2019 and has opened three restaurants and one cocktail bar to date. The chain has plans for expansion and will continue bringing delicious concepts to the city of Hong Kong.
