A Hong Kong-based restaurant group run by two chef-entrepreneur friends Arron Rhodes and Chris Grare, SHOWMEN GROUP was born from a shared vision of creating restaurants that guests would want to visit every day of the week.
Their first venture, Kinship, first opened in May 2019 in the heart of SoHo offers hearty and wholesome New World flavors inspired by the chefs’ travels around Asia. Kinship’s trademark warm service and open-armed hospitality were carried into Showmen Group’s second venture, Smoke & Barrel smokehouse and BBQ restaurant on Wyndham Street that opened in October 2020. Christened the “Best BBQ in Town”, Smoke & Barrel pays homage to the age-old American culinary tradition of wood-smoked barbecue cooked slow ‘n low in Hong Kong’s only imported smoker. With “Showmen” Arron and Chris at the forefront of each venture, SHOWMEN GROUP will continue to expand its brand based on the same humble philosophy and mission to show guests a good time with delicious food and warm service.
At Kinship, guests can expect an elegant yet relaxed dining atmosphere, and best of all, Michelin-worthy flavours at honest prices. Family comes first, and that philosophy holds true in all aspects of the restaurant. We serve new world cuisine, traditional techniques, with flavours of world travel. Our belief is that food should not be defined by one culture. Celebrating the lasting bonds of family and friendship in a city where most interactions are fleeting.
Brooklyn Yakuza is a late-night restaurant serving Japanese American ‘East meets West’ cuisine in a buzzing-izakaya atmosphere featuring a theatrical sake bar for guests to enjoy various elixirs before, during and after their meals. The interactive tasting bar will feature a stunning Sake list with outbursts of flavors, from fruity to floral, mellow to sophisticated umami, crisp to dry and perfect for the hybrid cuisine. This special selection was created with the mindset to serve all sorts of drink enthusiasts.
The restaurant chain was developed by veteran chefs and good friends, Arron Rhodes and Chris Grare. Even though the pair were born in two completely different places across the world, the past 7 years was a testament to their brotherhood
